her Story
Dear Reader,
I’m excited to share my passion for literature with readers and committed to creating novels that have the power to move, inspire, and captivate. My characters’ stories are inspired by real-life scenarios that I hope spark conversation and challenge worldviews.
Over the years, I have fallen in love with a wealth of literary and contemporary giants whose books fill my shelves to this day. Alas, thanks to Kindle and Audible books, my shelf space is limitless, and I now have the time to discover emerging authors.
Aside from novel writing, I founded the 1619 National Celebration of Black Women Inc. to commemorate the 400 years since the first African captives arrived in the Americas. We are a non-profit organization whose mission is to recognize the extraordinary contributions women of African descent have made in building America.
(For More information, visit https://www.1619nationalcelebrationofblackwomen.com/ )
For many years, I worked in the field of Human Services, advocating for children, youth, and families. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Texas Southern University, a Masters's Degree in Social Work from San Diego State University, and am a certified Associate Clinical Social Worker.
Currently, I reside in Southern California where I was born and reared. Together, with my very supportive husband of many years, we raised two amazing, talented, self-driven children.
Thank you for stopping by!
